This spring, get a load of color and comfort on your feet, while still maintaining style. Tough? Not when you are wearing a pair of Keds.
Yes. I'm talking about those white fabric lace-ups that Granny used to wear when she went on her retirement cruise. We all wore them in junior high, admit it; when we paired them with neon-color socks. Keds.
First, fashionista Misha Barton modelled for Keds. Now, the ominous label has teamed up with designers Nanette Lapore and Maria Cornejo (of Zero Maria Cornejo's fame) for a line of stylish, kirky flats for spring.
Nanette Lapore's version is sweet and whimsical. Lapore used printed silk and animal-print canvas for her flats and flat sandals. Cornejo's solid number featured a sexy ankle strap with metal studs. The pair go fabulously with her minimalist aesthetics.
Priced at $60 a pair, mull before you go buy another pair of ballet flats.
