I'm Not a Plastic Bag Bag
Ever since Al Gore's Inconvenient Truth won gold at this year's Oscars, everyone suddenly wants to go green. Let's talk about Eco-fashion! Let's talk about using sustainable energy! Let's talk about recycling! Even accessories has gone chic this summer, thanks to Anya Hindmarch's version of going green.
Her reusable shopper tote, "I'm not a plastic bag" bag, has met crazy demands in the U.K. All brown stitching canvas bags that were available at U.K. supermarket chain Selveridges were all sold out.
State-side, eco-friendly chicettes can still get their totes at selected Anya Hindmarch stores on June 20. You can try signing up on www.anyahindmarch.com and attempt to get on its pre-order waiting list in May. The totes will be available at east coast's Whole Food Markets starting in July.
Why all the fuss for a shopping bag? For a price tag of $15, you are contributing to the environmental movement by saving that shopping bag.
