New York Fashion Week Fall 2008 Preview

It's that time of the season again. The Fall 2008 Fashion Week officially kicks off this friday, Feb. 1 with London, Milan and Paris to follow. Unofficially, the fashion fete starts tomorrow with a few presentations jumping the gun.

You can find the full NY presentations schedule here.

What to watch for:

GENART will change its format of concentrating on one designer instead of showcasing three. It will be interesting to see its full force behind Denmark-native designer Staerk, whose collection this season will focus on dark romanticism.

Marc Bouwer will present his collection in a new medium -- online, where editors will see a video and images of each look on his website www.marcbouwer.com starting Feb. 4 at noon.

AND as Kelly Cutrone kindly puts it (for those of you who don't know who Cutrone is, she is the head of PR for fashion PR powerhouse People's Revolution):

Don't you DARE rsvp to a show you're not invited to plus four!!

Fashionistas -- you've been forewarned. Have a great season!
