What: lower east side chic meets hipster with a dose of preppy
Take away: as Rebecca Minkoff's fourth season to venture into RTW, she sent down the runway a collection of hip separates that complemented her mainstay - handbags. The collection bears similar outfits that the fashion show attendees are wearing currently, with lots of fitted jackets and tight pants. I suppose all these worked because they showed off the bags, which act as the anchor piece that tie the outfits together.
What we love: the bags in classic winter hues of wine, mauve and purple. A morning after bag in snake skin gave the collection an extra kick of luxe.
